     H.E. Mr. Dinesh Bhatia Ambassador Dinesh Bhatia assumed the charge of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Argentina with concurrent accreditation to Uruguay and Paraguay (until February 2022) on 21 August 2019. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Consul General of India in Toronto and Ambassador to Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea and Liberia. He also served in various Indian Missions abroad including Madrid, Kathmandu, and Kuwait.   He was seconded by Government to the Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai and as Private Secretary to the Tourism Minister of India. He has also served in various Divisions of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.   Amb Bhatia joined Indian Foreign Service in 1992 and was trained at LBSNAA, Mussoorie and Foreign Service Institute, New Delhi.     Embassy of India Buenos Aires ***** INDIA-ARGENTINA BILATERAL RELATIONS   Political Relations India and Argentina, the two vibrant democracies separated by two oceans irrespective of the direction one takes, are bound by shared values, mutual respect, understanding and respect for the rule of law. The two friendly countries have enjoyed cohesive and strong relations spread across wide spectrum of sectors which have deepened over decades. India-Argentina diplomatic relations were elevated to the level of Strategic Partnership during the State Visit to India of the then President of Argentina, in February 2019.     Embassy of India Buenos Aires *****   INDIA-URUGUAY BILATERAL RELATIONS     Political Relations    The Embassy of India in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is concurrently accredited to Uruguay. Diplomatic relations between two democratic countries were established in 1960. Uruguay has an Embassy in New Delhi and an Honorary Consulate in Mumbai.     Bilateral Interactions     2.         The then Prime Minister of India Ms. Indira Gandhi visited Uruguay in 1968. The then Vice Presidents of Uruguay, Mr. Danilo Angel Astori Saragosa, and Dr. Hugo Fernandez Faingold visited India in 2011 and 1999 respectively. Uruguayan President Mr. Luis Lacalle Pou participated in 3rd Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS) held virtually on 17 August 2024.   3.         Ministerial level interactions and visits between the two countries have taken place from time to time.     Embassy of India (Buenos Aires) ***** India-Paraguay Bilateral Relations   Political Relations The Embassy of India in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is concurrently accredited to Paraguay. Diplomatic relations between India and Paraguay were established in 1961. Relations between India and Paraguay are cordial and friendly. Mr. Rodolfo Javier Zuccolillo has been appointed as India’s Honorary Consul in Asuncion. The Embassy of Paraguay in India was officially opened in March 2006. Apart from the Embassy in New Delhi, Paraguay has Honorary Consulates in Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. The Embassy of Paraguay in India is also concurrently accredited to Sri Lanka.     1. Results of elections to 87 seats in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in north India have been declared. As per the province´s election regulatory body, the State Election Commission, 10,015 polling stations were set up in 87 constituencies to facilitate 72,25,559 voters of Jammu and Kashmir. (Out of a total 111 seats, 24 seats remain vacant for Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, the remaining 87 seats are distributed among Jammu- 37 seats, Kashmir valley- 46 seats and Ladakh- 4 seats.     Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India has developed an e-Clearance for Afterlife Remains (eCARe) portal to streamline and expedite the process of Public Health Clearance for transporting human remains to India. The link to access the portal is as follows:https://ecare.mohfw.gov.in The eCARe Web portal is aimed at integrating all stakeholders on a single all-in-one interface, including the consignee, Airport Health Organizations (APHOs) and airlines.
